A good instrument is more than the name on its label. What truly matters is how it has been prepared before it reaches the player.
Every bağlama offered by Saz Saz is personally inspected and professionally set up in my workshop before it is made available for sale. With more than 20 years of experience repairing and restoring string instruments, together with formal violin-making training in Cambridge, I approach each instrument as a luthier rather than simply as a retailer.
Factory strings are replaced with quality strings, the fret positions are checked for accurate intonation, the tuning pegs are adjusted for smooth and reliable tuning, and the bridge is inspected and replaced if necessary. The instrument is then fully tuned, played and tested to make sure it is comfortable to play and performing as it should.
Many bağlamas are sold exactly as they leave the factory. I believe every instrument deserves individual attention before it reaches the player. My goal is simple: a well-prepared instrument that plays comfortably, stays in tune reliably, sounds its best, and is ready to enjoy from the moment you receive it.
Each bağlama above has been personally selected, inspected and prepared in my workshop. Select an instrument for detailed photographs, specifications and further information.
