A Turkish long-neck bağlama made with mulberry wood. Inspected and professionally prepared in my workshop before sale: strings replaced, tuning pegs checked and adjusted, and the instrument fully tuned and tested. The long-neck design offers the extended fingerboard and playing range traditionally associated with long-neck bağlamas, an interesting choice for players who prefer the feel and possibilities of a longer neck. The natural character of the mulberry gives it a distinctive traditional appearance.

Professionally set up before sale
Every bağlama I sell is personally inspected and set up in my workshop before it's listed: factory strings replaced with quality strings, frets positioned for accurate intonation, tuning pegs adjusted for smooth and reliable tuning, and the bridge checked and replaced where needed. It leaves fully tuned and tested.
Many instruments are sold exactly as they leave the factory. With more than 20 years repairing and restoring string instruments, and violin-making training in Cambridge, I approach each one as a luthier rather than a seller, so that it feels comfortable, sounds its best, and inspires confidence from the very first note.
