Tanbur by Hossein Yari

Available

£560

A carefully made Persian tanbur by Hossein Yari, with a traditional one-piece bowl carved on the Asadollah Gahvareh mould. The bowl and neck are walnut, which gives the instrument a naturally warm, rich appearance and a balanced tonal character. A one-piece bowl is a particularly desirable feature for players who want a traditionally built instrument with a strong connection to Persian tanbur craftsmanship. It has a distinctive traditional character and suits both experienced players and musicians who value the heritage of Persian string instruments. Comes with a soft case.
