Your Instrument Deserves the Best Care

A great performance starts with a well-maintained instrument. Trust your instrument’s care to our experienced hands.

Since 1992, I have dedicated myself to the art of instrument repair after completing specialized training in repairing Tar and Setar. My journey began under the mentorship of Master Shahram Mir Jalali, an esteemed Tar maker and musician, whose expertise inspired me to master both instrument repair and the teaching of Tar and Setar.

To further enhance my skills, I trained in structural repairs for various instruments, including the violin, in Cambridge. Since 2005, I have expanded my services to include a wide range of instruments:

  • Persian Instruments: Expert repairs for Tar, Setar, and other traditional Iranian instruments.
  • Violin: Comprehensive repair and adjustment services.
  • Flute: Detailed maintenance and repair solutions.

I pour my experience and passion into every repair, honoring the artistry of each instrument and the dedication of its maker. These instruments are more than tools; they are living art that connects us all. I am deeply grateful to everyone who has supported me with your kind words, motivating me to continue this fulfilling work. Thank you.

tuning

Santours, featuring 72 strings—36 silver and 36 copper—benefit from regular tuning to counteract pitch changes predominantly caused by fluctuations in temperature and humidity. While Santour strings are stronger than those of other Persian instruments, they require more frequent tuning, with every four strings being tuned together. Additionally, the strings should be replaced when they become darker in colour, as changing the strings plays a significant role in maintaining the instrument's function and sound, giving it new life.
