Professionally prepared

A good instrument is more than the name on its label. What truly matters is how it has been prepared before it reaches the player.

Every bağlama offered here is personally inspected and set up in my workshop before it is made available. With more than 20 years of experience repairing and restoring string instruments, together with violin-making training in Cambridge, I approach each instrument as a luthier rather than simply a seller.

Each bağlama is carefully checked and adjusted: factory strings are replaced with quality strings, the frets are positioned for accurate intonation, the tuning pegs are adjusted for smooth and reliable tuning, and the bridge is inspected and replaced where needed. The instrument is then fully tuned, tested, and ready to play.

Many instruments are sold exactly as they leave the factory. I believe every instrument deserves individual attention before it reaches its new owner. My goal is simply an instrument that feels comfortable, sounds its best, and inspires confidence from the very first note.
